Abobe Flash is a multimedia software platform used for the production of animations and embedded web browser video players.
Although Flash is in decline and will be retired by Adobe in 2020, it is still a current technology and it is used extensively on websites.

Photoshop
Adobe Photoshop was created back in 1988 and has become the industry standard in raster graphics editing. It can edit and compose raster images in multiple layers and supports masks, alpha compositing and several colour models including RGB, CMYK, CIELAB, spot colour and duotone.
No website is complete without good graphic images and the ability to edit/create such images is an essential skill for a website designer.
