Why go to a Test Centre?
You are currently allowed to take some examinations at home or in the office. Before you book an online exam, consider the advantages of going to a Test Centre:
- Technical requirements
- Setting up your testing computer is our problem and not yours. Just sit down and take your test.
- In the extremely unlikely event that something goes wrong during your test, we will sort out the problem.
- Make notes
- At a test centre you can make notes and jot down calculations with our pen and note boards.
- During on online test, you may have access to a whiteboard on the screen that you can type into.
- Take a 'comfort break'
- At a test centre you are usually allowed to get up and go to the toilet during your exam if you have to.
- During on online test, unless there is a scheduled break built-in, you must stay in your seat for the duration of the test. If you leave camera view at any time, your test will be ended. You will have to reschedule and you may have to pay again.
- Look away from the screen
- A lot of people find it difficult to look at the screen for the entire duration of an examination.
- During an online exam, your online Proctor will warn you if you look away from the screen for more than a second. If you do this 3 times, your exam will be ended.
